Tourism and hospitality have taken a big hit over the past year and a half but some hotels are finding ways to rebuild their business stronger than ever. Among the strategies and services these hotels are using are Pure Rooms, which can help guests feel more comfortable returning to travel safely.

Pure Rooms use the most advanced air and surface purification available to eliminate contaminants and create a hypoallergenic environment. This includes 99.99% of viruses, bacteria, allergens and other harmful particles - including those smaller than the coronavirus. When guests stay in a Pure Room, they enjoy the highest quality sleep experience that helps promote well-being and health.

“We are thrilled with the performance and results of our Pure Rooms,” said Steve Steading, Area General Manager for Hotel 43 in Boise, ID. Hotel 43 is currently experiencing a 59% Paid Premium Occupancy (PPO) rate with an average of a $20 premium on each room per night.

Demand for Pure Rooms was high before the pandemic but has steadily increased as travelers are looking for security and peace of mind during their stay. According to Robert Rivers at the Loews Boston, “pre-COVID, our hotel had inquiries for hypoallergenic rooms and this now allows an option for guests willing to pay an additional $20.” With a 41% PPO, “Pure Room occupancy is increasing as demand and hotel occupancies have reached sell-out [levels] on weekends fairly consistently.”

General Manager Sean Prince has also noticed this trend at the Hilton Garden Inn Murfreesboro (TN), where “most of the [Pure] Rooms are being booked by the guest prior to arrival.” With minimal upselling, the Hilton Garden Inn Murfreesboro is earning a $20 premium on each Pure Room at a rate of 49%.

At the Hyatt Lodge in Oakbrook, IL, General Manager Robert Brand also credits his front office team with the success of Pure Rooms, which currently have a premium occupancy rate of 59%. Brand summed up his experience with Pure Rooms by describing them as “a great product and upsell offering, especially during a global pandemic!”

Other hotels demonstrating stellar results with Pure Rooms include the Residence Inn Mentor (OH), the Doubletree Lafayette (LA) and the Doubletree Durango (CO), which currently has an astonishing 77% PPO with an average premium rate of $31.73! Pure is excited to partner with these exceptional hotels to help travelers feel safe and confident as they begin booking reservations again.
