There’s even the Mobile Carnival Museum, which highlights the history of Mardi Gras inside a restored Southern mansion.   With its own unique attractions and traditions, Mardi Gras in Mobile is a special experience for holiday veterans and first-timers alike. Mobile will host more than 40 parades in the weeks leading up to the big day, including the local favorite events of Joe Cain Day on Sunday, February 27th this year. Mobile’s family-friendly version of Mardi Gras features colorful floats and lots of beads, of course, but also flying Moon Pies, elaborately decorated homes and authentic local flavor.   If you’re looking to see the original Mardi Gras for yourself, you can enjoy the festivities with the peace of mind of Pure Rooms at the Homewood Suites Mobile.
